IPA4SME is up and running and is looking for SMEs who need help with their IP valorisation. The current call for proposals opened in June 2020 and will close on Wednesday 30 September 2020.
The campaign is offering SMEs awarded with the H2020 SME Instrument Seal of Excellence a unique opportunity to valorise and protect Intellectual Property through a variety of IP-related services, worth up to EUR 15.000.
These services include free IP pre-diagnostic, with a verified IP expert providing a customised report on your IP business strategy, including recommendations on how to efficiently and securely exploit your assets. This service is only available to SMEs registered in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
This 60-minute session is for European SMEs seeking practical tips on how to get investment ready and how to ensure that their business is attractive for investments. Our expert, Fadi Naffah (Director of the Lebanon Enterprise Development project at Berytech, EBN Member in Lebanon) will delve into the following topics:
Different rounds of funding (family, friends, fools; seed; Series A; Beyond series B etc) and what investors look for at each stage of maturity
What makes a company attractive to investors?
Dynamic Q&A session where our expert will explore financing strategies in more detail and answer individual questions related to investment readiness.
ENRICH in Brazil Innovation Challenge Brazil - Europe : Call for solutions is Open!

ENRICH in Brazil is calling European Solution Providers to propose their COVID-19 related solutions in the areas of Digitalization, Tourism, Health, and Sustainable Development!
Based on the Call for Challenges, ENRICH in Brazil has been launched in June 2020, three Brazilian challenges has been identified. In total 30 challenges have been received, and assessed on the critieria of Innovativeness, Scalability, Importancy, Urgency and Solvability. The Evaluation Committee consisted of European and Brazilian experts from the ENRICH in Brazil partners.
Now, the call for Solutions is open and they are looking for problem solvers from the European market !
For the three challenges described online, solutions are welcome to submit. For each solution a financial support for the solution and its implementation is foreseen.

The 2020 edition will be fully digital. All startups need to submit a 3 minute video pitch no later than Monday 31 August. The top 100 videos will be made available on the Oslo Innovation Week website two weeks in advance, and a jury will select 3 companies from 5 different tracks. The selected 15 companies are invited to the live session where they will present their solution in conversation with the jury.

BREAST CANCER INNOVATION PROGRAM - APPLY BEFORE AUGUST 31th

Pfizer Italy and H-FARM are launching an Open Innovation Program to develop and validate innovative solutions for women with metastatic breast cancer.
The program will connect startups from Europe with Pfizer Italy to test and validate their solutions. Pfizer Italy together with H-FARM will select the best startups to pitch to the Pfizer’s Management with the ultimate goal of launching a Proof of Concept.
The accelerator EIT Climate - KIC in Spain supports climate entrepreneurs with equity free funding, training and a global network, accelerating their business with improved success rates and bigger impact. It offers a rapid development for start-ups for maximum business potential and climate impact. In three stages, the up to 18-month programme brings climate entrepreneurs the knowledge, resources, tools and the mentoring they need to build a successful company.
How can the coexistence of overhead lines with fauna and flora be improved? In its effort to minimise the impact of power lines on the environment, especially on birdlife, Iberdrola is launching a new Startup Challenge in search of innovative solutions to improve their coexistence.
